This calculator separates two geometric measures: floor area in m² and rectangular internal volume in m³. That distinction matters because trailers with similar floor dimensions can still differ substantially in usable height.

How it works
The calculation follows the formula shown in the result card: A = L × W; V = L × W × H.
When to use it
Use it to compare nominal trailer sizes, sanity-check equipment data from a carrier or estimate the geometric space available before doing a detailed pallet or cargo-fit calculation.
What to check before dispatch
Geometric volume is not the same as usable cargo capacity. Door openings, insulation, refrigeration units, wheel arches, internal fittings, payload and stacking rules can reduce what can actually be loaded.

13.6 × 2.45 × 2.70 m → 33.3 m² · 90.0 m³.
Common mistake
Do not compare trailers by cubic metres alone. A load can fit by volume and still fail on floor layout, height at the door, payload or axle limits.

Not necessarily. The result is the rectangular geometric volume from the dimensions you enter; real usable space can be smaller because of equipment and loading constraints.
